September 21, 2004 – “National Museum of the American Indian Opens”“The National Museum of the American Indian opened in Washington, D.C. It contains one of the world’s largest and most diverse collections of Native American artificats and history. The museum actually has three facilities – one in D.C., another in New York City and a third in Suitland, Maryland. The foundations for the present collection were first established at the Museum of the American Indian in New York City, which has been open since 1916.”

2017 April 1963 - "First Billboard 100 Hit from Asian American Musicians" The Rocky Fellers, a Filipino American boy band, is the first Asian American musical act to have a song chart on the Billboard Hot 100. "Killer Joe" reached number 16 on the charts across the country and reached number 1 in New York City and Los Angeles. The group consisted of four Filipino brothers – Tony, Junior, Eddie and Albert Maligmat – and their father, Doroteo "Moro" Maligmat.
